Own Your Health

Own Your Health was created for those moments when health, physical or mental, feels too confusing to hold alone and too important to ignore — for the moments that ask more of you than you feel ready to give.

  • A new medication, a diagnosis, a procedure
  • A body that has started sending signals you don’t understand
  • An appointment that goes too quickly
  • A nervous system that feels overwhelmed, or simply tired of being brave

It is not here to replace medical care — it is here to help you feel less lost inside it. A place for clarity, dignity, consent, accountability and agency.

Straight talk, not wellness noise

Plain-language reports on the research behind the things that affect our health — what the studies actually found, what they didn’t, and what it could mean for you.

Latest: Beyond Willpower — how addiction changes learning, motivation and choice, and how recovery becomes possible.

An ally on the journey

You are your own advocate

You are an active participant in your own health, not a passive patient. It is an honour to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your body, ask better questions, and remember that your health is a relationship — not a problem to solve.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, please still reach out — we can discuss how to make this accessible for you.
